Paulo Basseto Photography

Working in the wedding industry since he was 16 years old, Paulo started from the bottom and worked his way up to owning his own Studio. At only 20 years old Paulo decided to chase his dream of pursuing photography in a more dynamic and expressive market. This decision led him to leave Brazil for Canada and later to the US, where he settled in New York City. With a degree in Digital Design with emphasis in Photography from the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Paulo set out to offer his work to various studios all over the tri-state area. At the age of 21 and only months living in the US he was invited to shoot Gianni Russo and his group in the Rainbow Room – one of the most refined venues in Manhattan. From that point he focused on networking with the right people from all over the industry and this eventually led him to the success he always dreamed about while in Brazil. Today Paulo is one of the youngest photographers in New York City to reach the “mid to high-end wedding clientèle” and have his work published in magazines, both US based and international, including ELLE Magazine in Switzerland, several publications about his success in Brazilian magazines and two US publications. Working together with a talented group of professionals such as directors of photography, fashion photographers and wedding photographers has allowed Paulo to sharpen his techniques and add to his knowledge surrounding the industry. In addition to this he has also participated in several workshops and courses at the International Center of Photography. As man of faith Paulo credits his fast rise to success to three things - his hard work, client oriented ethics and most of all to God.
